Takeaways from the Integration Lab in Palanga: From ideas to action

How can municipalities, organisations and policymakers work together to create better integration outcomes? These questions were at the centre of the Nordic–Baltic Integration Lab in Palanga, where participants from across the region gathered to exchange experiences, test new ideas and develop practical solutions for integration.
The Lab was part of the For-In 2.0 project, that has had a few initiatives this year already.

Nytt forskningsprojekt: Så kan migranter få bättre tillgång till vård i Norden
|
Tillgång till hälso- och sjukvård borde vara en självklarhet – men för många som migrerar till Norden och Baltikum är det inte det. Otillräcklig information, språkhinder, svårnavigerade system och låg tillit kan stå i vägen. NordForsks forskningsprojekt Promoting Access to Health Services through Participatory Approach: E-Health Intervention to Promote Good Health Seeking (PATHS) har som mål att förbättra tillgången till vård för migranter i Norden. Projektet utgår från erfarenheter från ukrainska flyktingkvinnor i Norge, Sverige och Estland samt från vårdpersonalens perspektiv. Målet är att utveckla en digital plattform som gör det lättare att navigera rätt i vården och som ger tillgång till tillförlitlig information för alla. |

A big misconception in the Nordics is that equality automatically produces representation, says gender and migration expert Runa Preeti Ísfeld. As a member of the Nordic Migrant Expert Forum, she advocates for better pathways for minoritised professionals into leadership roles.
Runa Preeti Ísfeld
is a member of The Nordic Migrant Expert Forum 2025–2027. The Forum recently presented 14 targeted recommendations to enhance migrant integration across the Nordic countries within four key areas: framing and foundation, structural domains, social and relational domains, and transformative practice.
